Run Away with the Circus!

In a world of shrinking borders, few things connect diverse neighbors more than laughter, happiness and dreams of flight. With the power to transcend language and culture, the Circus Arts unite people in an understandable, accessible, and fun way.

New York Circus Arts has redefined running away with the circus through innovative performances, workshops, and training programs, making it possible for people across the country to come to the circus, even join the circus, and still be home for dinner. (That is, if dinner is still a priority.)

The organization encompasses a circus school for adults and kids; a professional academy for aspiring and established performers; a performing troupe for events and entertainment; equipment and gear supplier; and flexible space for your event. You might say it sounds like a 3-ring circus.

NYCA was founded in 2004 by performer, impresario, and circus innovator, Cypher Zero to share the thrill and beauty of the contemporary circus arts with American audiences and make the fitness and personal benefits accessible to people of all backgrounds. In Sept 2009, NYCA moved into its permanent home, one three-minute subway stop away from New York's Grand Central Station, on the waterfront in the Long Island City Arts District.
